Libby was my 'boss' for 7 years before her retirement. Boss is a funny word because she never bossed. She nurtured, knew everybody's personal circumstances, motivations and aspirations and did her best to allow them to thrive in an NHS system that didn't always allow it. She had a knack of balancing staff needs and NHS practices, to form a brilliant team. While retaining staff in an NHS London hospital is nigh impossible, we didn't have that problem. To this day we stay in touch and meet up. Libby is very much alive through our friendships and for that I (and we) will be forever grateful. God, bless her and take care of her. You are lucky to have her as we have been.
